Klarna FAQ

How does paying with Klarna work?
When you choose to ‘Pay in 3’ with Klarna, you’ll need to select ‘Pay with Klarna’ at the bottom of our checkout page. The first payment instalment will leave your bank account when we confirm your order. The next instalments will follow 30 and 60 days after.
Please note: As of the 16th March, 2023, Klarna are introducing a late fee to Pay in 3 and Pay in 30 days payment options. Customers will only be charged late fees if they have failed to pay after they have received multiple friendly reminders to encourage repayment, and after the set grace period has passed. Late fees will only apply to new purchases made with Klarna’s Pay in 3 and Pay in 30 days options on or after the 16th March, 2023.
Will I be accepted by Klarna?
Klarna may run a soft credit search on your account – this is only visible on your credit file and will not impact your credit score. You must be over 18 years of age to shop with Klarna. BARNEYS ORIGINALS currently only offers Klarna’s ‘instalments’ service (formerly known as ‘Pay in 3’) which has no interest or fees. If choosing this service, this will not leave a record on a customer’s credit file that will either impact the customer’s credit score or is visible to other lenders. Each customer will be responsible for ensuring payments are made on time. In the event of a late payment for the ‘Instalments’ service, Klarna will not contact the Credit Reference Agency (CRA) minimising the risk for your credit history. How can I manage my Klarna purchases?
To keep an eye on your previous Klarna purchases, you can review your account with Klarna via their website or app.

What happens in the event of a return/refund?
If you choose to purchase using Klarna and later decide to return your item, you’ll be offered either an exchange or refund. When shopping with Barneys Originals you will have up to 30 days to return your garment.
Should you wish to be refunded, you’ll need to follow the Barneys Originals returns process. Upon your item arriving, we will process your refund via Klarna. Any payments made prior will be fully refunded and your upcoming payments will be cancelled by Klarna. Please be advised that it may take up to 10 working days to receive your refund depending on your bank.
In the event of a partial refund, you will receive your funds in up to 10 working days and depending on the size of your order, you may have remaining payments to make. You can keep on top of all refund processing by visiting Klarna directly.
Is Klarna safe?
